Tribute to Fallen Police Officer

Posted on April 24, 2007. Filed under: Local news, South Bend Police, Wooden Indian Motel, shot officer |

It happens all over the country on a daily basis, yet it is still shocking and hard to grasp. Those that protect and serve are sometimes killed for their job.

This is a little note to say thanks to all the police officers who put their lives at risk for us every day…the police officers who sometimes die for the people they work for.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of the fallen officer, who died protecting and serving the community he worked for. I also pray for the officer who was wounded, and his friends and family. I pray for the South Bend Police and all involved in this senseless violence.

Take a minute today and silently thank the police officers for the job they do. We don’t really hear about it until tragedy strikes, but they do maintain order and make our communities a better place to live.
